McDonald’s, the world’s largest restaurant chain, is an innovative and people-oriented company backed by a leading multinational brand. Currently, there are 184 McDonald’s restaurants in Switzerland, run by 41 independent entrepreneurs (franchisees).


Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants. To complement its Finance department based in Crissier, McDonald’s Switzerland is looking to fill the role of


 


Field Finance (full-time – 100%)


 


This position will play a key role in driving long-term growth and supporting the strategic decision-making of our franchisees. Field Finance roles will focus on franchisee partnership and related operations such as openings, financial viability, reinvestment in restaurants, etc. The candidate will identify trends affecting financial performance and provide critical information for decision making. The candidate should be able to think creatively to solve problems and develop innovative solutions that improve processes or provide new perspectives on business performance. This may include the use of new technologies or methodologies.


 


You will have the following duties and responsibilities:



  • Review market trends to identify opportunities and risks for franchisees.

  • Address challenges effectively and make informed decisions.

  • Develop long-term plans and assess situations critically.

  • Understand and use economic information to support business decisions.

  • Communicate effectively with leaders and influence strategic decisions.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Provide financial support to franchisees and operators:

    • Advise on budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

    • Monitor the financial health and profitability of franchisees.

    • Keep in mind the long-term growth of the business.



  • Support the review of franchisee contracts and agreements to ensure objectives are met.

  • Collaborate with GBS to gather financial information and prepare business reviews with franchisees.

  • Act as a point of contact for franchisees.

  • Support franchisee training.



Domaine d'activité



To be successful in this role, we believe you need to be/have:



  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a finance-related position, preferably with experience in operations.

  • A university education in finance, accounting, economics, business management, or a related field. A postgraduate degree, such as an MBA with a specialization in finance or a master’s in finance, accounting or economics, is preferable.

  • Fluent in English and German (min. C1). French is a plus.

  • The mental agility to understand international issues so that strategies can be adapted accordingly.

  • The capacity to work well in a team and to positively influence decisions.

  • The ability to anticipate future trends and challenges to guide business strategy.

  • A strong understanding of McDonald’s systems and technical services.

  • Strong assertive communication and presentation skills.

  • Agile thinking and the flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment.

  • Independent yet able to work as part of a team.
